Day 43 & Next Habit

Day 43 Record Keeping SRHI = 57
Day 11 Fixed Meditation SRHI = 48
Day 10 Dynamic Meditation SRHI = 57
Great night sleep, great wakeup.

I’ve still got a bit before I start my next habit, but I want to discuss what I think it should be. Ideally I want to start with habits that have the ability to support other ones. I’ve definitely not done this in the past, but I think this third iteration of the project I’ve been pretty good.

I’ve done record keeping, the most basic of habits, then meditation, another basic one. If I let myself look to the future I can foresee several habits - becoming a morning person, working out, language learning, music learning, flossing, eating right, posture, writing, finances. Maybe learning to code.

Ideally the next step would be getting in shape. And since bodies are made mostly in the kitchen, eating right would be a good one to start next. But, for some odd reason, something I really have to analyze, I’m eating perfectly. It’s fallen in place almost effortlessly despite the fact I’ve had so much trouble doing it in the past. Now maybe that’ll change - it’s only been less than 2 months - but it feels pretty rock solid.

Since that’s out of the way, I think some basic exercise is in order. I recently watched and read a couple things that Mark Sisson and Elliot Hulse talk about - that the best way to get in shape is to become a more active person. And to do that, start with the basics - like walking for an hour every day. And once you’ve got that down, you can build on it.
